Garth, I read your whole book last night. Very informative, and written in a most entertaining way. GOOD WORK!

I certainly enjoyed your expertise and personality, and will definitely refer you to others. After reading the book, though, I was so scared I wondered if I should just sell the house as a junker, as-is. I never knew so many things can go badly wrong! But where do I find a better investment than a constantly rented house and land? It looks like it's going to be a money pit forever.

I had a home that I am buying inspected by Garth D. Haslem today, November 10, 2010. He was very thorough, noticing many details and features that I would never have caught. He brought my attention to many issues, mostly positive, but a few negative. He seemed to really care that I be aware of problems that needed attention or correction. I had been pretty sick and still had to wade through a bunch of stuff on the house that we were moving out of, so it was pretty taxing and the last straw came along and.... Anyway, you were so kind and your response was much appreciated.

I would also like to tell people that after calling around and talking to a bunch of meth cleaner uppers, I quickly tired of feeling like they all saw us coming. It was awful. To say that you were a breath of fresh air would be an understatement. At last, there was someone who wasn't looking to fund his retirement through our problem. Someone who understood the pain of our situation and really wanted to help. We felt like you bent over backwards to work with us in the most cost effective, efficient way possible to meet our needs. I would recommend you to anyone without a moment's hesitation...in fact, I already did to a friend whose child had a meth issue with an ex-spouse and the possibility of contamination issues might have affected custody. Having a reputable third party available to do testing is so helpful for people. You provide a great service.

Thank you for answering today even though you were with some clients. I just got home from school and doing homework and wanted to shoot you an email before we speak tomorrow. First of all, thank you SO much for recommending Garth - out of the seven homes that my father has purchased he said that Garth is the best inspector he has ever seen. Garth spent 3 hours with us, explained problems and was very up front and honest. Being certified to pronounce homes as showing signs of Meth, the first thing Garth said to us when we stepped through the front door is that he suspected the house. He told us to look for signs of anger and violence, which often accompany Meth-usage. Several areas of damage to the house (holes punched into walls/ceilings and then repaired) exposed these signs as did the suspicious signs in the attic. Garth was so awesome and I am positive that we will use him for any other home inspection we conduct and will also refer him to friends.

We really appreciated your attention to detail when it came to both factors related to our safety and for measures to take to maintain the integrity of the home. I'd only seen one house inspection before and though they broke out infrared cameras to see thru walls and the like, I felt that you had a better feel for the house just based on ur expertise and instinct. My only regret is I forgot to ask where our main water shutoff valve was - but I'm sure we'll find it once we move in! You made us feel so much more comfortable about buying our first home - thanks for that!
